{"id":7064,"date":"2026-02-23T09:12:04","date_gmt":"2026-02-23T09:12:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.umtradings.com\/de\/leverage-adjustment-during-news-releases-daily-market-close-4\/"},"modified":"2026-03-05T05:26:43","modified_gmt":"2026-03-05T05:26:43","slug":"leverage-adjustment-during-news-releases-daily-market-close-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.umtradings.com\/de\/leverage-adjustment-during-news-releases-daily-market-close-4\/","title":{"rendered":"Leverage Adjustment During News Releases &amp; Daily Market Close"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"holiday_des\">To maintain market stability and manage trading risks during high-volatility periods, a temporary leverage adjustment\n    will be applied to specific products, starting February 23, 2026.\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"holiday_des\">\n    <p><strong>Adjustment details as below:<\/strong><\/p>\n    <p>1. <strong>Leverage:<\/strong> Client Leverage and Fixed Leverage will be adjusted to 1:200.\n        <br><em>*Products with original fixed leverage \u2264 1:200 will not be affected.<\/em><\/p>\n    <p>2. <strong>Affected Trading Platforms:<\/strong> MT4 and MT5.<\/p>\n    <p>3.<strong>Adjustment Time Periods and Affected Products:<\/strong><\/p>\n    <p>i) 15 minutes before and 5 minutes after major economic news releases.<\/p>\n    <p>&#8211; USD-related news: Leverage on Forex, Gold and Indices will be adjusted to 1:200.<\/p>\n    <p>&#8211; Crude oil-related news: Leverage on Oil will be adjusted to 1:200.<\/p>\n    <p>&#8211; News related to other countries: Leverage on Forex will be adjusted to 1:200.<\/p>\n    <p>ii) 1 hour before market close (Monday &#8211; Friday) and 30 minutes after the next trading day opens.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"holiday_des\">\n    <p><strong>Please note:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n    <p>1. New position opened during the adjustment period will have a leverage of 1:200, while existing positions will remain unchanged. Once the period ends, all positions will revert to the original leverage setting.<\/p><p><strong>Example:<\/strong> <em>1 lot\n            of gold is opened before the adjustment period with a leverage of 1:500. New position 0.1 lot of gold is\n            opened during the adjustment period when the NFP is announced, the new position will have a leverage of\n            1:200. During the adjustment period, both positions will have different leverages.<\/em>\n            <br><em>After the adjustment period ends, the leverage 1.1 lots of gold will return to 1:500.<\/em><\/p>\n    <p>2. Once leverage is adjusted, your\n        margin requirements and margin level for open positions will be recalculated. Please re-login to MT4 \/ MT5 to\n        view the real-time updates.
