シンガポールPMI、緩やかに拡大、景況感1.2年ぶり高水準

半年近く低迷した製造業は、上昇に転じる 

2023年10月のシンガポール製造業購買担当者景気指数（PMI）は50.2となり、前月の50.1から小幅な上昇となった。 同指数は2ヵ月連続で50を上回り、シンガポールの工場活動の安定な回復と拡大を示した。 

工場生産高、新規輸出、雇用などの主要指標は、楽観的な動向を示した。一方、原材料の仕入れと新規受注は若干改善したものの、外需の低迷により引き続き縮小した。また、中国経済の減速と地政学的な緊張関係の影響か、サプライヤーの納期状況が悪化した。シンガポールの工業生産高の約40％を占める電子産業は、10月に15ヵ月連続の稼働率低下を記録した。しかし、減少率は9月の49.8から49.9へとわずかに緩和した。

企業景況感、18ヶ月ぶりの高水準 

2023年第3四半期のシンガポールの製造業の景況感は好転し、前四半期の6ポイントから7ポイントに上昇した。これは2022年第1四半期以来の高水準で、電子産業、特に半導体産業の楽観的な見方が強まり、第2四半期の11ポイントと比べて、第3四半期の23ポイントは大幅な改善と見られた。さらに、一般製造業は、食品、飲料、タバコの景況感に牽引され、前向きな見通しを示した（前回値-8ポイントに対し、今回値6ポイント）。 

一方、輸送工学部門に対する景況感は、43ポイントから35ポイントに低下し、化学品（今回値-13、対前回値-3）、バイオメディカル製造（今回値-13、対前回値-12）、精密工学（今回値-5、対前回値7）も悪化した。
