2023年のスペインIBEX35指数（ES35）は、多くの金融サービス銘柄のおかげで、2009年以来最も好調な年間23%の上昇を記録した。ES35の構成銘柄のうち、昨年下落したのはわずか7銘柄で、市場全体が前向きなムードがあふれていることを示している。 

今週の火曜日、IBEX35指数は欧州市場の大半を覆っていたネガティブなセンチメントをはねのけ、上昇傾向を継続し、10,182ポイントに達し、2024年に向けて力強いスタートとなった。投資家は最近のPMI統計を受け止め、主要中央銀行による金融緩和期待への自信を維持した。また、スペインの年間インフレ率は11月の3.2%から12月は3.1%に鈍化し、市場予想の3.4%を下回った。しかし、スペインHCOB総合購買担当者景気指数（PMI）は若干低下し、2023年11月の46.3から12月は46.2となり、市場予想の47を下回り、業界が依然として脆弱であることを示している。企業関連では、グリフォルスGrifols, S.A.が、中国のハイアール・グループとの間で、戦略的パートナーシップの確立と、上海レイス株式20％を約18億米ドルで売却する株式売買契約の締結を発表した。
