今回延期されたOPECプラス会合と新たな減産の協議は予想を下回り、各国間の利益の違いによる矛盾が浮き彫りになり、減産措置による原油価格の底支え効果は弱まった。 

  • サウジとロシアは減産、米国は増産 

ロシアのノバク副首相は、OPECプラス諸国は投機行為を避け、世界市場の変動を抑えるため、2024年第1四半期に原油を追加減産する用意があると述べた。一方、米国やブラジルなどの原油生産量の増加は、依然として原油価格を圧迫している。
