聯準會年終保持利率不變，升息周期已見終點

12月會議上，聯準會連續第三次將聯邦基準利率維持在5.25%-5.50%不變，符合市場預期。 不過，聯準會成員承認內部將討論明年可能降息的問題。 

在其記者會聲明中指出，近期數據顯示雖然經濟成長減速，就業增長依然有彈性，但也有所放緩。 失業率仍然很低，而通貨膨脹率在過去一年有明顯減壓，但還是處於較高水準。 

聯準會亦發佈最新的經濟預測： 

  • 2023 年 GDP 成長率預期上修（現值2.6%，前值為2.1%），但 2024 年 GDP 成長率略有下降（現值1.4%，前值為1.5%）。 
  • 2023 年和 2024 年 PCE 和核心 PCE 通膨預期均出現向下修正。目前預估 PCE 通膨將在 2023 年達到 2.8%（此前為 3.3%）和 2024 年達到 2.4%（此前為 2.5%）。 
  • 預計2023年核心PCE為3.2%，低於先前的3.7%，2024年為2.4%，低於先前的2.6%。 
  • 2023年失業率預測維持在3.8%不變，2024年失業率預測一樣維持在4.1%不變。 

另外，聯邦基準利率預測點陣圖顯示 2024 年利率將下調。2024年底的預測利率中位數從9月的5.1% 下滑至4.6%，暗示聯準會明年有可能降息75個基點。
